Good Day My Peeplets,

I am up early making stollen (German Christmas Bread). I am going to take the dough which has to rise twice to my daughters to bake while we make hers. I feel like I got a real workout beating the heck out of that heavy dough, as I tried to get as much air as i could into the dough. I make it the old fashioned way. It reminds me of my mom.

I finally got my stable and Jesus People onto my lawn out front. Today G will finish things. It wasnt as cold as usual yesterday, so I figured it's now or never. I also wanted to beat the snow which finally came last night. Is it really still autumn????????????????

I bit the bullet and bought an artificial tree. Gulp. I called Frontgate and it's being delivered sometime in the next week. My fam will be surprised. I usually cut one down and put it up. But since I am the one who has to go get it, drag it home, put it up, take it down, clean up afterwards, I decided it's a new season and this season is about me, so I got a pre-lit fake tree. The fam is just going to have to accept it. The last 2 years after my mom passed, I just lost the desire for a real one. She used to love to sit in the car while I sawed away. She would laugh and say I was crazy. But she loved it.

Nancy, I found a new easy way to get rid of hair mats,,,,seam rippers. They work like magic. What do you use.

Connie, what did you get Kay??????

Crystal, you sound so happy. I cant wait to see you at Inwood. It's like the most luxurious gym I have ever been in. You will love it. I love the private showers.

Nancy, I love cookies. I especially love oatmeal and of course chocolate chip. Yummo! How many did you make? I love the idea of baking them a day later when the kitchen is clean. I may do that Christmas eve with the grand-babies. They love to help.

Dawn, you have been on my mind and in my prayers. How is the dry socket? I read on FB you had to go again to have it packed. Feel better.

Jason, I know you are not going to miss this cold weather. I feel like it's a bad dream and I am going to wake up and it's going to be Indian Summer.

Chris, where are you running today???

Carla you mentioned looking for an apartment. Are you moving back?

Kim, are you home? I am hoping things have gotten better for you.How are you?

Randy, you sound like you are busy. Be careful out there on the ice. Buses and trains are the way to go in this terrible weather. I drive I-80 everyday and I see cars in the ditch often.

Christine, I know you are like the Road Runner....go...go....go. Be safe dear one.

Blessings my sweet Peeplets.

Hugs,

Sharon

Good Morning,

"Oh the weather outside is frightful..................", we must of got 5 inches or more, and it is still snowing.

I am so glad that I have to go no where today. I have 3 batches of cookies ready to be dropped into the oven.  Crystal, I love your idea of shaping the dough around rolos. I don't have any, but, I do have kisses and peanut butter cups.

Nancy, are you staying in today?

Sharon, Your stollen sounds great. You will love your new tree. It saves so much time without having to put the lights on.

Connie, what did you get Kay?

Dawn, I hope you get to the bottom of the problem with the dry socket. I agree, it has been going on to long.

Kim. where are you hiding?

Randy and Jason, where are you?

Christine, what plans do you have for today?

Oh, BTW, I am done wrapping, and my spare bedroom will be cleaned up this morning too.

As you know, we are going on another cruise in May. We were suppose to have friends also going. Well, last night they told us that they decided not to go. It really didn't come as any surprise. When they told us, my first reaction was I knew you were going to pull out. Oh well, we will have fun without them. There are 27 other couples that are going.

Time to start baking. Like Sharon, I like to bake first thing in the morning.

Hugs, and be careful out there today.

Lisa

The food logs from this site (OH) and myfitnesspal I have been comparing my food logs. So far so good with the food logs and the two diets.

Well, the other party in my cruise to Alaska next June BETTER NOT decide to not go because it was his wish to go there. I will end up going and find a Boy Toy to go with me! TEEHEE - we are going to celebrate our 40th, leaving Chi-town on June 16th and will be gone until June 29th on a Rail and Sail, Fairbanks, Denali, Anchorage and then down the inside passage to Vancouver - home after that. We will be there over the Summer Solstice - longest days of the year in AK.

Good morning,

I'll post what I got Kay after Christmas because she sometimes reads this. ( for those who don't remember, she has a Realize band which worked for her). Remember our big present is a furnace. One of my friends is going to Florida for Christmas to lay on the beach and read. I told her I was going to set up a chair and relax in front of my furnace!

today we have our big knitting group and then who knows? I'm supposed to meet up with a friend who wants me to knit a scarf and hat for Christmas. I hope she comes to pick out the yarn! We are also having breakfast first with friends. We moved our We'd breakfast to Saturday so we didn't have to get up so early.

Its only snowing here a little bit so we should be OK. The rest of you south of here, be careful and stay safe!

Connie

Good morning Sharon,

Nothing can beat home made food from scratch. Heavy dough can do that. I think the old fashioned way can be the best way in making food. It reminds me of my grandmother.

Cool. I hope G that can finish thing up. Yes it's still Autumn.

Gool luck with your Christmas tree in getting it next week. Christmas hasn't been the same for me since my mother passed 4 years ago.

You got that right Sharon that I'm not going to miss this cold weather. It feeling like a bead dream to me too about this snow and cold weather. Three week from today I'll be saying goodbye to this weather for a few days and the day I return back to Chicago it'll feel like a bad dream to me leaving the warm weather for the cold. I wish Januray 4, 2014 would get here already.

Hugs,

Have a great day.
